What to Do
Wine Tour: A requirement for a visit to Fredericksburg is a wine tour. It is the easiest way to enjoy the famous wine trail! Absolute Charm Wine Tours takes you to 3 of the best wineries: you can choose between Hilmy Cellars, Fat Ass Winery, William Chris Vineyards, and Lost Draw Cellars. The tour lasts four hours, seats up to 11, and the wine tastings are included in the tour price. They will even pick you up and drop you off wherever you request!
Girls Trip Essential: Want to make your Fredericksburg trip saucier than the average Girls trip? Not only is it fun and flirtatious, it’s a great workout! The instructor will even choreograph a dance for you, if you request! Grab your heels and your girls!
Shopping: Fredericksburg is known for its historic Main Street. Main Street is a mile long, and includes shops and boutiques, art galleries, jewelry stores, wine bars and tasting rooms, bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants and bars, many of which have live music! A few places you must visit are: Maven, which has witty knick-knacks for you and your home, Clear River, where they hand make award winning ice cream and pastries, Barefoot, where you can get a fun, Fredericksburg themed t-shirt as a souvenir, Rustlin’ Robs Texas Gourmet Foods, a huge tasting room where you can try hot sauce, jellies, mustards, dips, mixes, and so much more, all for free, and Blackchalk Home and Laundry a home store a few blocks off main, but its mix of classic and moroccan interior design pieces makes it worth visiting!
Food: There are tons of places to eat in Fredericksburg. You can stay on Main and eat at any of the many restaurants there, or you can venture out a bit and try some of the other places Fredericksburg as to offer! Sunset Grill is great for breakfast or lunch, and have fantastic mimosas and bellini’s. Tubby’s Ice House serves casual New American/Mexican fusion street food. It has fun outdoor seating, and is only a block off Main Street. They have beer on tap, and, our personal favorite, a frozen rosé, appropriately named Frozé. If you're looking to dress up a bit, August E’s is an excellent choice. Also only a block off Main, August E’s has great food, as well as a sushi bar. If you want to sit in the main dining room, you’ll need a reservation, but you can get the full food and drink menu at the bar or in the cocktail area!
Drinks: There are three categories of drinks in Fredericksburg: Craft, strong, and wine. The Stable has the best Craft cocktails, and it’s intimate, European vibe makes you feel a million miles away instead of across the street from a grocery store! Hondo’s on Main has the strongest drinks and the best live music in town. We recommend the Luna-rita, a house-made pineapple margarita. Please drink responsibly (because they are SO strong). Lincoln Street Wine Market is a wine bar one block off Main that offers a selection of local wines, as well as wines by region and beer.
Pamper yourself: Whether you’re looking for some rejuvenation (wine hangovers are no fun), or just a little self-love, Rootology is the place to go! We recommend their Oxygen bar, which is perfect to revive your system, with fun flavored scents and a calming atmosphere! You could also try CryoThrive, their walk in Cryotherapy chamber that uses could temperatures to decrease pain, slow aging, and improve health!
Now, go grab your girlfriends and head over to Fredericksburg! We hope to see you soon!
